Thuringia: 47-year-old seriously injured on the construction site in Oberhof

Oberhof (dpa/th) - A 47-year-old worker was seriously injured in an accident on the construction site for a new hotel in Oberhof (Schmalkalden-Meiningen district). The worker suffered severe burns in an electrical accident on Wednesday afternoon, said a spokeswoman for Thuringian consumer protection. The 47-year-old then had to be flown by helicopter to the dermatology clinic in Halle for treatment. The exact cause of the accident was initially unclear. The Occupational Health and Safety Office is investigating. The "MDR Thüringen" had previously reported about the worker being injured by an electric shock.
