Thuringia: cyclist is hit by a car and seriously injured

Eisenach (dpa/th) - A 26-year-old cyclist was hit by a car and seriously injured. He wanted to turn left into a parking lot in Eisenach on Saturday when the collision occurred, the police said on Sunday. An 82-year-old was behind the wheel of the car. The seriously injured cyclist was taken to a hospital. A criminal investigation was launched against the driver for negligent bodily harm.
