Mainz/Weimar (dpa/th) - The director of the museums of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, Annette Ludwig, is awarded the Mainz Media Prize. The former head of the Gutenberg Museum in Mainz was unanimously elected by the selection committee, a spokesman said on Friday. Ludwig headed the Gutenberg Museum from 2010 to spring 2022 before moving to Weimar. You have brought international attention to the Mainz museum, it was said to justify.

The prize, donated by the University Medical Center Mainz, has been awarded since 2017. Ludwig is the sixth prizewinner; Gundula Gause and Jürgen Klopp, among others, had previously been honored. The award, which is worth 4,000 euros, is to be presented to Ludwig on November 18th in Mainz Cathedral.
