Mainz/Weimar (dpa/th) - The director of the museums of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, Annette Ludwig, is awarded the Mainz Media Prize. The former head of the Gutenberg Museum in Mainz was unanimously elected by the selection committee, a spokesman said on Friday. Ludwig headed the Gutenberg Museum from 2010 to spring 2022 before moving to Weimar. You have brought international attention to the Mainz museum, it was said to justify.

In particular, her special exhibitions on typography, printing art and printmaking have attracted worldwide attention. "It is to her credit for recognizing the influence of the media revolutionary Gutenberg and for building a bridge to current digitization concepts."
