According to the information provided by the financial institution on Tuesday, this affects both private customers and clubs and commercial and public customers, for whom the so-called custody fee has been abolished. The savings bank is thus implementing the interest rate decision made by the European Central Bank last week to raise key interest rates. Previously, the Sparkasse Mittelthüringen had charged negative interest on balances that exceeded a certain allowance.
