Thuringia: The state parliament session deals with the payment of civil servants

Erfurt (dpa/th) - Thuringia's civil servants should benefit from the wage increase in the public sector. The Thuringian state parliament wants to decide on this today. It is planned to adopt the degree for employees with income improvements of 2.8 percent on December 1 for civil servants. In addition, there should be improvements in the family allowance for civil servants who have at least three children. Finance Minister Heike Tauber (SPD) has estimated the costs for the state treasury of the tariff increase at five million euros this year and 60 million euros in the coming year.

A total of 80 topics are on the agenda of the state parliament until Friday. In order to make progress, the MPs want to meet on Thursday until 11 p.m.
