Thuringia: Wanted man turns himself in to the police and is arrested

Erfurt (dpa/th) - A 40-year-old man turned himself in to the police at Erfurt's main train station and was taken to prison. The man identified himself as a wanted person on Sunday, according to the federal police. A check revealed that the man had previously been fined for distributing pornographic material and for cheating on services. According to the police, he did not want to or could not pay the fines, he had not started the replacement prison sentence on time. Accordingly, the federal police brought him to a prison, where he has to serve a sentence of 201 days of imprisonment.
