Thuringia: work platform tips over: man seriously injured

Grossengottern (dpa/th) - A 64-year-old man in the Unstrut-Hainich district suffered life-threatening injuries in a serious accident at work. He had stood on a lifting platform with a 23-year-old to repair an advertising sign at a supermarket in Grossengottern, the police said on Tuesday. When the working platform suddenly tipped over for reasons that are still unknown, the two men fell about six meters from the ground. Both suffered injuries, with the 64-year-old's being particularly severe. A 23-year-old witness suffered a shock, according to the information.
