Ukraine: 3 dead in a strike on an apartment building in the East

At least three people were killed and around 20 injured on Wednesday (February 1) when a Russian missile fired at an apartment building in Kramatorsk, eastern Ukraine, police said. "Three people were killed and twenty others injured" and "at least eight apartment buildings were damaged, including one completely destroyed." People could be under the rubble,” Donetsk police said.

"More than 100 police are at work at the scene of the attack," she said. Journalists from Agence France-Presse saw two bodies where rescuers were clearing the rubble. "Peaceful people are dead and lie under the rubble," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote after the rocket fire. "It's the daily reality of life in our country. A country bordering on absolute evil," he said.

The city of Kramatorsk is located in the eastern region of Donetsk. Kremlin-backed separatists have partially controlled the industrial region since 2014, including its main city, Donetsk. After having decreed last year that the region was Russian, Moscow is currently trying to conquer it completely.

Kramatorsk. Russian terrorists have hit the city with a ballistic missile leading to civilian casualties. Some people are still under the rubble. No goal other than terror. The only way to stop Russian terrorism is to defeat it. By tanks. Fighter jets. Long-range missiles. pic.twitter.com/jYlltDDl1G
