Video for "I Drink Wine": Adele splashes, sings and drinks

Who manages to bag millions of clicks for a video on YouTube within a very short time? Adele of course. For the recently released clip for her song "I Drink Wine", the pop high-flyer even gets wet.

Almost a year has passed since Adele released her fourth studio album "30". The release was not only accompanied by a lot of euphoria, hysteria and fanfare, but also by a video for the first single "Easy On Me".

The clip for the song, in which the exceptional singer works through her failed marriage, now has more than 300 million views on YouTube. Adele also donated a music video to the track "Oh My God" on "30" in early 2022. But since then she has been rather sparse with other signs of life.

Quite a few should therefore have been surprised that Adele suddenly published a new clip on Wednesday evening. It too is dedicated to a song from her latest album: the ballad "I Drink Wine".

True to the motto of the song, you can see the now 34-year-old with a glass and a bottle in her hands. So equipped, she cruises across the water in an oversized swimming ring in a fantasy landscape. In between, she belts out the song, splashes a little with the other creatures around her and, of course, gets refilled every now and then.

The fact that she sometimes throws the wine bottle overboard shouldn't cause any environmentalists to become concerned. At the end of the clip, Adele explains that the recordings were made in an artificial set surrounded by spotlights, cameras and extras.

"So I hope I learn to get over myself, stop trying to be somebody else, so we can love each other for free, everybody wants something, you just want me" try to be someone else so we can just love each other, everybody wants something, you just want me"), Adele languishes in her song. With the fans, she should hit the heart. They love them anyway. And so the video for "I Drink Wine" has already garnered more than 2.5 million views on YouTube within a few hours.
