I'd like to tell you an Episode from my life. No, not from the time of the Holocaust. It occurred two decades later. A British Director made a documentary about the journey of four young neo-Nazi leaders from Britain, France, Austria and Germany to the memorial site Auschwitz-Birkenau. He asked me if I would like to accompany you. These young neo-Nazis were known, that they denied that the Holocaust ever took place, and one of them had publicly declared, to give the Jews the Hand. However, I felt it was my duty – please believe me: for a Survivor of a very serious –, the neo-Nazis to confront. Just because it was young people.
at some point one of my interlocutors, a said, – otherwise very well-read and well-educated – thirty-year German to me: "And what evidence do you have that a Million Jews were killed in Auschwitz, and that this is not a number that you have invented, in order to demand compensation? The Germans are very conscientious when it would have been so – there would definitely Register.“ I replied: "And how do you explain the fact that my father and my little brother were driven to the selection in the direction of the gas chambers and crematoria, and the next day no one you ever saw?"
