Are there Bingo Variants?

As bingo has developed as a casino game over the years, a number of different sets of rules have popped up that players can choose from to play. It’s really down to individual taste as to which set of rules that you want to play with, and luckily, you can play with every single variation of bingo online - play Bonanza slot free here.

Sometimes, online bingo game developers will offer their games to play with all of the rules, whereas other times, bingo games will be made specifically for one ruleset.

It’s good to be aware of which variant of bingo suits you best as a player, in the sense of which one you enjoy playing the most, so have a look at our overviews of what the different variants mean so that you can make a more educated decision as to which one to play with.

90-Ball Bingo

In 90-Ball Bingo, you will have the highest amount of balls that are available to play within all of the bingo. Here, you will have 15 numbers to choose from, and they will be set out over three rows of five numbers.

80-Ball Bingo

Taking it down by 10 balls is 80-Ball Bingo, which sees a slightly different format to its 90 ball counterpart. This is slightly more famous, as the numbers that you must see are arranged in a square, which a lot of us are used to playing.

Those squared numbers will be to the tune of 16 in quantity, in a 4x4 setup as you can imagine and most likely recall.

75-Ball Bingo

A slightly more obscure version of bingo is its 75-ball variant. Here, your numbers will be arranged in a square again, except this time, there are 24 of them and there will be a gap in the middle of the square.

Session Bingo

Instead of constraining your bingo usage by the number of numbers you play with, Session Bingo offers a variant that is determined by time instead. More often than not, this amount of time will be an hour from the time that you begin to play.

After the hour commences, your session will be up, and you will need to purchase a new bingo ticket to be able to continue playing.

Cash Cubes

One of the newer and more exciting variants of online bingo is one that has not been played by any of us, but maybe it should be. It’s called Cash Cubes, and it’s a heck of a lot of fun.

In Cash Cubes, there are just 36 balls to play with, and players will have just one ticket with 12 numbers. This variant of bingo is more high intensity than the other versions of bingo in this list, so if you like things a little different and exciting, we definitely recommend giving Cash Cubes a play next time you’re thinking about checking out some online bingo.
