Seville will host this year the Latin Grammy ceremony in what will be his first departure from the United States.

An event that arrives in the Seville capital in 2023 after the sponsorship agreement signed by the Junta de Andalucía with the Latin Recording Academy for three editions.

Since the year 2000, these awards have been held with the aim of rewarding the best professionals in the music industry in Spanish and Portuguese. In addition, they are the Latin version of the Grammy Awards, the most important recognition within the music sector worldwide.

So far, the 22 editions of the Latin Grammys have always been held in the United States. Over these years, the organization has chosen cities with a broad representation of the population of Hispanic origin such as Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Houston or Las Vegas.

The Andalusian Government will contribute a little more than 12 million euros in 2023 and its sponsorship for 2024 and 2025 will be around 3 million per year.

The Latin Grammys are expected to generate an economic impact of 300 million euros in 2023 and the total for the three years will be around 500 million.

On social networks, the 2022 broadcast of the event generated 10.5 million interactions.

Last November, Miami art collector and gallery owner Gary Nader offered by means of an open letter a contribution of 5 million dollars to ensure that the Latin Grammy Awards were held again in Miami.

Seville will host the Latin Grammy award ceremony in November 2023. In addition, the Seville capital will host two annual concerts until 2025.

During the week prior to the Latin Grammys, the city will also hold ten musical and social events that will culminate in the awards ceremony.

The Palacio de Congresos de Sevilla will be the setting for the 2023 Latin Grammys ceremony where up to 12,000 personalities from the music industry from all over the world are expected to attend.

The scheduled dates of the Latin Grammy Awards, in what will be his first departure from the United States, will be the month of November after the sponsorship agreement signed by the Latin Recording Academy for three years. However, the date is yet to be confirmed.

Each edition of the Latin Grammys is made up of 52 categories that represent the different actors and components of the music industry. Among the most important awards are Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year or Best New Artist.

In the 2022 Latin Grammy Awards edition, the big winner was the singer-songwriter Jorge Dexler, while the singer Rosalía won the award for best album of the year for Motomami and three more awards.
