A 32-year-old man has been arrested in Palma as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of sexual assault and sexual provocation towards his daughter under the age of 14 after having sexual relations with her and having sent her photographs of intimate content.
The investigation began after the complaint of a woman against her partner, for having had sexual relations with their daughter when the minor went to the parent's home in Palma at the end of 2021 and was living with him for a few months, has detailed the Superior Headquarters of the National Police of the Balearic Islands in a statement.
When the mother became aware of the facts, she reported them and provided information on what had happened. She recounted that when her daughter went to her father's home in Palma and lived with him for several months, at first he was only affectionate with her daughter. "But little by little it went up in tone" until they had sexual relations, according to the police account.
The mother provided an extract of conversations from a social network between the father and the daughter, where intimate photos with clear sexual content were sent by the father.
Once the Family and Women's Care Unit (UFAM) learned of the facts, they took steps to find out the whereabouts of the father and arrested him last Monday as the alleged perpetrator of a continued crime of sexual assault for allegedly having had sexual relations with his daughter, as well as for a crime of sexual provocation, for sending images of a sexual nature.
After having gone to court, the judicial authority decreed provisional detention for the detainee.
