The Municipal Police of Pamplona arrested a 20-year-old young man last Friday as the alleged perpetrator of seven sexual assaults for touching women reported at police stations.
Since the first complaint was made last October for various touching of a woman by a young man until this month of February, the Pamplona Municipal Police has collected seven complaints from victims in which they recounted very similar events and in which described a young man as the alleged perpetrator, the Police reported in a note.
The facts denounced in all cases have a certain similarity in their form and description of the possible perpetrator as it is a young man who travels on a bicycle. The victims in all cases refer to various touching and very risqué comments, the police force has added.
In addition to these 7 complaints collected, in the Municipal Police there are also two other internal reports in which the affected women report various profanity comments made by a young man who also travels by bicycle.
For all this, the Municipal Police organized a control device in two of the most common areas of action of that person, located in the neighborhoods of Iturrama and Lezkairu.
Police officers attached to the Judicial Police brigade organized and deployed in these areas, establishing a special surveillance service with police officers on bicycles and others walking or in camouflaged vehicles.
Last Thursday afternoon, a cyclist matching the description provided was located in the Iturrama neighborhood, for which reason one of the police officers who was riding a bicycle proceeded to follow him, to which the persecuted man reacted by trying to escape at high speed through parks. and sidewalks.
After suffering a fall pursued and persecutor, the Police have exposed, the pursuit continued at a run through various streets, recklessly crossing Navarra avenue to head through the campus of the University of Navarra towards the area of the municipal lazareto where he was intercepted by other patrols of the Municipal Police.
