Programs Mediaset vetoes some of the main characters of its programs from their content: from Kiko Rivera to Rocío Carrasco

Revolution in Mediaset content. The television giant turns its products around. After the departure of Paolo Vasile, the new managers of the communication group are undertaking a profound change in the culture of the chain. And one of the first steps is aimed at some of the characters who have filled the most television hours on Telecinco in recent times.

As La Razón has advanced and EL MUNDO has been able to confirm, Mediaset has vetoed the broadcast of images or the mere mention of 13 key characters in its programs, including some that have been the basis of Telecinco's content.

This black list includes Rocío Carrasco, Fidel Albiac, Antonio David, Rocío Flores, Kiko Rivera, Olga Moreno, Marta Riesco, Gloria Camila, José Fernando, José Ortega Cano, Rosa Benito, Rosario Mohedano and also Bárbara Rey, who has starred in the last Chester and has given the Risto Mejide program its best audience data.

The order represents a revolution in the chain's content, as well as an effort for its workers, who will have to measure the archive images to the millimeter to prevent them from showing the faces or mentioning the banned characters.

Sources familiar with the case confirm to EL MUNDO that the order has already been transferred to the production companies that work with the Mediaset channels, and a period of adaptation is opened so that production companies and programs can abide by the new conditions.

For their part, from the corporation they affirm that "Mediaset is open to new editorial content".

The revolution is not only going to mean losing the faces that have given the channel the most hours of content in recent years, but also responds to the principles that the new Board of Directors wants to establish after the departure of Paolo Vasile.

Obviously, the ban is going to mean a major effort for the newsrooms and production companies that work for Mediaset, since, precisely, for more than a decade and, especially, in recent years, faces like Rocío Carrasco, Kiko Rivera, Marta Riesco, Rocío Flores and Antonio David Flores have been absolute protagonists of most of the entertainment programs on Telecinco.

But they have also meant a devaluation on the part of the viewer towards the chain and towards the group. It is difficult to forget the war that Rocío Carrasco's docuseries, Rocío, telling the truth to stay alive, opened between production companies and Telecinco programs. While Rocío Carrasco went hand in hand with La Fábrica de la Tele, in other programs her daughter Rocío Flores was given a voice, while the arguments and defenses of each other were stepped on.

The same goes for Kiko Rivera. Although it is true that for several months, when she suffered the stroke, her presence on television has been practically nil, for a long time, especially after her break with her mother Isabel Pantoja due to her inheritance , was constant. Specials, summaries, appearances, content, interviews, and the presence of her environment in many other formats, as has been the case with her sister.

Not to mention what the veto means for José Ortega Cano, the protagonist of the Telecinco universe for decades, and from whom great moments such as the one experienced in his first interview with Ana Rosa Quintana after the rumors of separation from Ana María Aldón were unleashed, in which he blurted out the already famous phrase "my semen is still strong".

Other of the names that make up the blacklist had not been part of Mediaset for a long time, either because the group stopped having them, or because they ended up in accusations or trials with some of the channel's programs, which they decided to do without. of them a long time ago.

This is the case of Chayo Mohedano, whose husband sued La Fábrica de la Tele, producer of Sálvame, or that of Marta Riesco, the editor of Fiesta and current partner of Antonio David Flores, who two weeks ago posted a tearful video on Instagram in the one that accused Jorge Javier Vázquez's program and some of his collaborators of workplace harassment. It was in that video where she announced that she had been told that she could not resume her job as editor until further notice.

More famous was the disappearance overnight of Antonio David Flores after the first chapter of the docuseries by Rocío Carrasco. The ex-husband of the daughter of Rocío Jurado, who had been a contestant on GH VIP and was a collaborator of Sálvame, ended their contractual relationship suing the producer, which was ordered to pay him all the salaries not received since his dismissal, a total of 32,361 euros, as well as additional compensation for damages caused by the violation of their rights, another 50,000 euros.

In addition, this shocking decision puts an end to another of the great criticisms of the communication group, the feedback and the lack of new faces, a request that the audience had been making for a long time.

Always the same faces or from the environment of this, in one program and in another, practically in all the broadcast slots. That is what Mediaset refers to with "new editorial content": looking for new characters that give new content.

As José Manuel Eleta, deputy director of Barlovento Comunicación, assured this newspaper a few months ago regarding the audience crisis that the group's main channel is experiencing, Mediaset had to carry out a "conscientious analysis by age and by bands" of that loss of leadership and audience.

"He has to look for something that is based on his loyal audience and some impact, such as new presenters or other faces," Elate explained, and this is how he is proceeding when only a month has passed since the official departure of Paolo Vasile and the landing of Alessandro Salem as the new CEO of Mediaset.

The question now, although it is difficult to answer until the adaptation period is over, is what new faces and what new content are going to fill the Telecinco grid. In fact, in recent weeks, new faces have already begun to be seen that, although known, were not as hackneyed as the banned ones.

This is the case of Jorge Pérez, winner of Survivors and protagonist for his affair with Alba Carrillo at the group's Christmas party; his wife, who will go with him this Saturday when he returns from Let yourself be loved with Paz Padilla; Patricia Donoso, one of the first confirmed for the next edition of Survivors, and who became a Mediaset character after revealing an affair with Ortega Cano; or the participants in the last two editions of The Island of Temptations.
