In the fourth century, Santa Dorotea de Cesárea, as she was also known, suffered humiliation and torture for her Christian faith.

Before being martyred, Santa Dorotea met Teófilo, little believer in God. It was Teófilo who asked him for three apples and three roses from the Lord's garden to believe in him.

After Santa Dorotea died, and following her prayers, a child appeared to Teófilo giving him flowers and food. So Theophilus converted to Christianity.
