The UEFA Europa League and the Conference continue to progress on their 2022/23 calendar.
After the first playoffs, both competitions celebrate this Friday the draw for the round of 16 phase.
The 16 participants that will be in the drum of the first draw belong to the group of teams that finished second in the Europa League phase and that had as rivals the third classified of the initial groups of the Champions League.
Similar situation for the Conference, the winning teams of the duels that measured the second classified of this competition with the third of the Europa League advance to the round.
In this UEFA Europa League draw, Spanish football will be represented by Real Betis and Real Sociedad, as seeds, along with Sevilla. Notably absent is Barcelona, which was eliminated at Old Trafford by Manchester United (2-1) in the second leg.
On the other hand, in the Conference League draw, the only Spanish representative will be Villareal, who reaches this round of 16 phase as group leader.
The draw for the 2022/23 UEFA Europa League round of 16 takes place this Friday, February 24, starting at 12:00 p.m.
The matches of this round of 16 phase, in a double game, will take place on March 9 and 16.
Next, around 1:00 p.m., the draw for the new Conference tie will take place.
