Valencian Community The drop in unemployment is tattooed on the wrist: "I am proud of the work done"

The regional Secretary of Employment of the Generalitat Valenciana, Enric Nomdedéu, has tattooed a graph of the drop in unemployment in the Valencian Community on his wrist, as he assures that he is so "proud" of the work that has been carried out as to record it in their skin.

Nomdedéu has indicated in a tweet that when the Botànic came to the Valencian Government, in 2015, unemployment stood at a rate of 23%, while once the pandemic, which skyrocketed the unemployment figures, is over, the current legislature will end with a rate of 13.5%.

In statements to EFE, the regional head of Employment explained this Sunday that he believes that a good job is being done in managing unemployment and that he is "proud" of it.

Since June 2019, Enric Nomdedéu has held the position of regional secretary of employment and general director of Labora, the Valencian Employment and Training Service, dependent on the Conselleria de Economía Sostenible.

According to data from the Active Population Survey (EPA) published last Thursday by the National Statistics Institute (INE), the unemployment rate stood at 13.78% in the Valencian Community in the first quarter of the year, 25 tenths above the end of 2022, and the number of unemployed rises to 352,500.

From this Secretariat, Nomdedéu has promoted the debate on the working day of 4 days or 32 hours a week, believing that, although it is not the solution to all the problems of the labor market, it is part of the process of advancement of workers, of producing better to live better, and do so by consuming fewer energy resources.
