"Hormones are more powerful than you": Kylie Jenner suffered from postpartum depression

Kylie Jenner battled depression after both the birth of her daughter and her son. She speaks about it publicly. And she advises other mothers in similar situations to live out the emotions of this time to the full, "even if it's painful".

Reality star Kylie Jenner shares her experience of postpartum depression and sends words of encouragement to other moms. "I know in these moments you think that this will never go away, that your body will never be the same, that you will never be the same again," the 25-year-old told the Italian "Vanity Fair" in an interview . "The hormones, the emotions in this phase are much, much more powerful and bigger than you."

After the birth of her daughter, as well as after that of her son, she suffered from depression after childbirth, Jenner explained. "The first time was very difficult, the second was more manageable." She advises mothers in similar situations not to agonize over things and to fully experience their own emotions in the moment - "even if it's painful". "The risk is that you also miss out on all the beautiful things about being a mother."

Jenner has daughter Stormi, five, and one-year-old son Aire with rapper Travis Scott. She had previously spoken about psychological problems after childbirth. Speaking on The Kardashians last summer, "I just had a new baby, but I cried non-stop for about three weeks."

Jenner has apparently left this state behind: For her son's first birthday, she wrote on Instagram in early February: "Aire. My son, my moon, my stars. The best year of my life with you. You make us complete, my angel . Mommy loves you. Happy first birthday." The clip released shows Jenner kissing her son, hugging him on a sofa and standing with him on the beach.
