Weather week in a quick check: Golden October is coming to an end

Autumn will remain very mild in the coming weather week, with temperatures sometimes exceeding 20 degrees. However, more and more clouds, wind and rain showers mix with the sunshine. A first autumn storm low is also approaching.

After the mostly sunny Sunday, the cold front of a weak low is moving eastwards over Germany on Monday. After that, a weak high-pressure influence temporarily sets in again. After the middle of the week, the foothills of a low-pressure storm over the Atlantic touch our country and bring unsettled but still very mild autumn weather. Since the low is then more likely to move to the North Atlantic and not to Central Europe, there is probably no cooling to be feared next weekend.

Monday: Showers and thunderstorms

Already the night of the month is a bit milder. Ground frost is only occasionally possible in the mountains. Then Monday often starts out friendly to sunny, only from the Alps to Saxony is it cloudy or foggy at first. In the afternoon, however, more and more clouds will gather in the north-west and west and rain will fall at times, locally there can also be thunder and lightning. The clouds are loosening in the south, but a few rain showers are also possible here. The maximum values are between 15 and 20 degrees, on the Upper Rhine it gets warm again up to 23 degrees.

Tuesday to Thursday: Calm autumn weather with local rain

From Tuesday to Thursday there will be a mix of sun and clouds during the day apart from a few early morning fog. Initially, a few rain showers are only expected near the Alps, then on Thursday there will be thunderstorms in the entire south-west half. The maximum temperatures range from 12 degrees in the Ore Mountains to 20 degrees in the Upper Rhine.

Friday and weekend: Windy to stormy, but still mild

On Friday, the foothills of a storm from the Atlantic are approaching. They bring freshening wind and ever denser clouds as well as occasional rain. The temperatures remain mild with maximum values between 14 and 19 degrees.

On Saturday it will remain friendly and dry in the south and east. To the north-west, on the other hand, further showers will follow with a brisk to stormy wind. The temperatures will continue to reach between 13 and 19 degrees. Sunday is still mixed, especially in the western half and could even be a bit milder all in all. The weather computers are currently showing a very mild 14 to 21 degrees.
