The quiz show "Asked - Hunted" pops the champagne corks just in time for the tenth anniversary. In addition, the TV audience will be served a 190-minute primetime edition (Saturday, August 13, 8:15 p.m., Das Erste) with 16 prominent guests. They want to test their knowledge and earn as much money as possible for a good cause. As in the regular edition, a four-man challenger team competes against the quizelite, called "Hunters".
The first prominent team of four consists of the actresses Esther Schweins (52) and Eva Habermann (46), moderator Ingolf Lück (64) and impersonator Matze Knop (47). Comedian Atze Schröder (56) and actors Natalia Wörner (54), Sebastian Ströbel (45) and Barbara Wussow (61) compete in the next block. Athletes and "Let's Dance" star Mathias Mester (35), entertainer Gayle Tufts (62), Stefanie Stappenbeck (48) and Heiner Lauterbach (69) follow. And Luca Hänni (27), Daniel Donskoy (32), Natalie Geisenberger (34) and Gisa Flake (36) also want to compete with the professional quizzers.
On the show you see the "hunters" who hold multiple quiz world champion and runner-up titles: "know-it-all" Sebastian Klussmann (33), "quiz doctor" Dr. Thomas Kinne (61), "librarian" Klaus Otto Nargorsnik (67), "quiz volcano" Manuel Hobiger (40), "generalist" Adriane Rickel (48) and "quiz god" Sebastian Jacoby (44).
Moderator Alexander Bommes (46) likes to look back on the past ten years: "The hunt began, begins, will begin - wasn't that Caesar? The hunter team would just roll their eyes...", he says and explains further: "It would have been easy to ally myself with our Quizelite over the past ten years - but you don't become a fan of FC Bayern Munich just because they always win." So he will continue to fight the slayer and the hunters together with the brave candidate teams. "Just like every day of these ten years: with pleasure, joy and a lot of gratitude," says Bommes.
He is particularly looking forward to the extra show. "What could be better than the hunt on Saturday night? We look forward to highly motivated debutantes who want to deliver strong and celebs who are itching for revenge," he says. The challenge is enormous, he also admits, "because mature hunters with the experience of the past ten years are mercilessly in their way". "I'm sure it will be a nice and exciting anniversary show!"
Ten years ago, "Gefraget - Gejagt" started with six episodes on NDR, before the quiz show 2015 moved to its traditional weekday slot at 6 p.m. The popular quiz show had a successful start to the anniversary season on June 20th.
Andreas Gerling, responsible for the show, music and quiz at NDR, congratulates and remembers the beginnings: "Ten years of 'Gesucht Gejagt' - the perfect example of a show that began regionally in the summer program of NDR television and became a nationwide hit. Congratulations and thanks to the entire team, the hunters and of course to Alexander Bommes," he says.
And he says his famous opening sentence again on the anniversary show evening: "The hunt begins!"
