Even in difficult times, good service pays off and is rewarded: The German Institute for Service Quality and ntv honor the best service companies with the German Service Prize. The renowned award is being presented for the 13th time. For the first time this year, start-ups are also taken into account.

The German Service Award is intended to give consumers orientation, because only companies that convince their customers across the board are awarded. The German Institute for Service Quality, together with ntv, honored these companies with the service prize again this year.

The award ceremony is based on a comprehensive annual evaluation of studies, customer surveys and social media analyses. 2230 companies were examined. The focus of the investigation was on-site advice, online service, service on the phone and by e-mail, as well as customer statements about the service provided by the providers.

The results of the annual evaluation also show that there is no question of a service desert in Germany. Markus Hamer, Managing Director of the German Institute for Service Quality, summarizes the results: "Viewed as a whole, the service achieves a good level. On-site advice in particular is convincing in many sectors. The award recognizes established companies as well as start-ups that set standards in terms of service."

Catja Stammen, ntv editor-in-chief for service magazines: "ntv stands for high journalistic quality and credibility. In our service magazines, we focus on consumer-oriented reporting. This also includes reports such as the one about the German Service Prize. The presentation of companies with a pronounced customer orientation offers added value from which consumers can benefit."

Awards are given to the three best companies in 49 categories, including in the areas of house and apartment, mobility, health, education, finance, travel, fashion and food.

This year's winners include, for example, Comdirect, the comparison portal Check24, the SBK Siemens company health insurance fund, and the sports and wellness provider David Lloyd Meridian Spa
