Lucas Cordalis: That's what he says about the new jungle camp moderator

In the next season of the RTL hit show "I'm a Star – Get Me Out of Here!" there is a big change in personnel. From January 2023, Jan Köppen (39) will take over from Daniel Hartwich (43) and will moderate alongside Sonja Zietlow (54). Singer Lucas Cordalis (54) actually wanted to compete at the jungle camp in 2022, but a Covid 19 infection thwarted his plans.

The son of the pop singer and first jungle king Costa Cordalis (1944-2019) describes Köppen in an interview with spot on news as "super talented, funny and nice". The 54-year-old is sure "that he will do great". For Cordalis, Köppen is not just Daniel Hartwich's successor, "but actually Dirk Bach, who was the first moderator of the jungle camp and set the bar pretty high." Bach died in October 2012 at the age of 51. But Hartwich also "did the job great" in Cordalis' eyes.

Cordalis, who is releasing his new album "Lucas Cordalis" this Friday (July 22), still regrets his failed participation in the jungle camp. "Of course it was a huge disappointment for me to travel to South Africa and then not be able to take part in the jungle camp - I had to put up with it first." But anyone who knows him knows that he never gives up. Daniela Katzenberger's (35) husband does not rule out a second attempt: "Maybe RTL will give me another chance at some point – I would like it."
