In addition to the date, the Cologne broadcaster also announced details of the show and the supporting program on Wednesday. Accordingly, the anniversary program will be recorded on August 16 with an audience in the Admiralspalast in Berlin.

The two entertainment legends will be celebrated with a "party with music from back then, great promotions and many surprise guests," according to RTL.

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the 1980s hit film series "Die Supernasen" there will also be a documentary and a radio show on TV. Following the anniversary, the documentary "Mein Papa, die Supernase!" shown. In it, the son of the entertainer Roman Gottschalk (39) examines the cult surrounding the "Supernasen" films from his point of view. In this format, father and son can be seen together in front of the camera for the first time.

It has been four decades since the first of four "Supernasen" films entered the cinemas. Gottschalk and Krüger, who also wrote the screenplay, started a real success story in 1982 with "Pirate Station Powerplay". This was followed by "The Super Noses" (1983), "Two Noses Refuel Super" (1984) and "The Beginners" (1985). With the four films, the duo inspired almost ten million cinema-goers.

In addition to the two main actors, stars such as Evelyn Hamann, Katja Flint, Dagmar Berghoff, Anja Kruse and Udo Kier were also seen in the strips - and in three different roles also Gottschalk's wife Thea Gottschalk.
