She was only 15: "Take off your bra": Kate Moss remembers the scary incident on the set

After a good 30 years in the business, Kate Moss could probably fill countless interview programs single-handedly with her stories. In fact, however, the Briton is holding back. She is considered interview-shy and shy.

The fact that she testified for her ex-boyfriend in the trial of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard a few weeks ago bordered on a miracle.

All the more surprising what the supermodel now told the BBC 4 program "Desert Island Discs". Moss recalled an incident on set that still shocks her to this day. "For a bra catalogue, I had a terrible experience," she said, reporting demands from the photographer who was in attendance. "I was probably only 15 and he said, 'Take your top off,' and I took my top off. I was very shy about my body at the time," Moss said.

But the top wasn't enough for the photographer. "He said 'take off your bra' and I felt something was wrong so I grabbed my stuff and ran away. I think that sharpened my instincts. I can spot the wrong thing from a mile away," explained the model.

Not the only difficult photoshoot she remembers. A cover featuring the then 16-year-old Moss made the then young girl famous. She graced the cover of The Face magazine and wrinkled her nose at it. An iconic image today, the history of which was traumatic. Photographer Corinne Day ordered her to grunt "like a pig," which Moss didn't want. But Day insisted and Moss cried. She didn't really want to take off her top either. In the end, the "The Face" cover was the starting point of her career.

Moss was only 14 when she signed her first modeling contract. Then she traveled the world, fulfilling order after order. Despite her comparatively small height, she rose to the ranks of supermodels and, alongside Naomi Campbell, Elle Macpherson, Claudia Schiffer, Christy Turlington and Co., was one of the most important faces in the fashion world.
