Thousands of customer opinions: These companies are often recommended

Advice from family or friends is an important decision-making aid for most people. An annual analysis shows which companies are most popular with consumers when it comes to recommendations.

Anyone who is faced with a decision places great trust in the advice of family, friends and acquaintances. The sum of tens of thousands of customer experiences and judgments is even more meaningful. The annual analysis "Customer Favorites - Highest Recommendation" by the German Institute for Service Quality shows which companies do best with consumers in terms of recommendations.

The 2022 annual analysis is based on more than 271,000 customer opinions on almost 2,600 companies from numerous industries. The evaluation in 53 categories covers numerous areas of business and life, such as banks, energy, health, real estate, travel, sports or technology. In the individual evaluation, those providers were considered for which at least 80 customers had commented.

Markus Hamer, Managing Director of the German Institute for Service Quality (DISQ), explains the background: "The personal experiences of customers form the basis for how willing they are to recommend companies. The annual analysis is one in this area uniquely comprehensive evaluation. The results ensure transparency and can represent an important decision-making aid for every consumer." In each category, the three companies that show the highest willingness to recommend their customers are awarded.

The German Institute for Service Quality aims to improve service quality in Germany. The market research institute based in Hamburg carries out independent competition analyzes and customer surveys for this purpose. Over 2000 trained testers are deployed throughout Germany. A team of sociologists, economists and psychologists is responsible for managing the research projects, which use scientifically recognized methods and service measurement procedures.
