Trees planted in memory of concentration camp victims near the former Nazi concentration camp in Buchenwald near Weimar have again been damaged. In Schöndorf, a district of Weimar near the camp, two trees were snapped, a police spokesman said on Sunday. Parts of the bark were removed from three other trees. The State Criminal Police Office is investigating politically motivated damage to property, state security is involved. The damage was discovered on Saturday. It is the second such incident in the vicinity of the former concentration camp within a few days.
