Kremlin lack experienced officers: London: Recruit training overwhelms Russia

With the partial mobilization, Russia is increasing the number of its fighters, but there is obviously a problem with the training of the new recruits. The British Ministry of Defense reports that Moscow lacks experienced officers to prepare the mobilized for the war in Ukraine.

According to British experts, the Russian military is overwhelmed with the training of new recruits due to the war of aggression in Ukraine. This emerges from the daily intelligence update from the Ministry of Defense in London. Accordingly, Moscow was already having difficulties organizing training for the approximately 300,000 reservists drafted during the partial mobilization. According to the British, the problem is likely to worsen for the approximately 120,000 conscripts regularly drafted in the fall.

"Newly hired recruits are likely to receive minimal training or no training at all," the British experts said. Experienced officers and trainers were sent to the Ukraine for war operations and some of them were probably killed. However, the use of untrained forces contributes little or not at all to combat effectiveness.

A few weeks ago, the British Ministry of Defense reported that Russian recruits were under-equipped. "The average level of their personal gear is almost certainly lower than the already poor supply of previously deployed troops," London officials said in mid-October. Many reservists would probably have to buy their own body armor themselves, especially a modern type 6B45 body armor, which was actually supposed to be issued to combat troops in general as part of the Russian Ratnik equipment program.

The British Ministry of Defense has published daily information on the course of the war since the start of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine. The government wants to counter the Russian portrayal and keep allies in line. Moscow accuses London of a disinformation campaign.
