At least 11 people have been killed in a gun incident near the city of Belgorod in south-west Russia as recruits prepare for the war in Ukraine. According to the Ministry of Defense in Moscow, 15 others were injured, according to the state agency TASS. Other Russian media reported up to 22 deaths.
Two people opened fire on a military training area. They shot at a group of volunteers who wanted to fight in Ukraine, the Defense Ministry said. The attackers were shot. The ministry spoke of a terrorist attack. According to the ministry, two citizens of a CIS country are responsible for this.
