War in Ukraine: Cruel war crime: Russian soldier apparently castrated prisoners in front of the camera

Since the beginning of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine, reports of war crimes have shaken the world. Often there are isolated cases of atrocities, but from incidents that have become public, such as in Bucha, it is clear that Russia is also using violence against the Ukrainian population in a targeted manner and on a large scale.

A new, particularly drastic and sadistic incident is said to have occurred in eastern Ukraine: a Russian soldier is said to have cut off the genitals of a Ukrainian prisoner with a carpet knife and mutilated him. The incident became known because the Russian soldiers filmed it with their own cell phones and disseminated it. Another video is said to show that the abused prisoner was later shot.

Thanks to the recordings, independent experts have now been able to identify the alleged perpetrator. He was already seen on the Russian channel "Ria Novosti" with the same eye-catching clothing as in the mobile phone film and was therefore easily recognizable. According to the research, the perpetrator is said to be a soldier from the eastern part of Siberia.

According to research by the international research network Bellingcat, the videos are authentic. The star has also viewed and checked the videos, but does not distribute the video and sources out of respect for the victim.

So far there have been no official statements from the Russian and Ukrainian sides. Overall, the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office is already investigating 23,000 possible cases of war crimes that are said to have taken place in recent months.
