Düsseldorf also wins clearly: Bielefeld successfully reduces frustration after being kicked out

The first games of the sixth second division match day end clearly. Arminia Bielefeld wins for the first time this season with the new coach signed from Osnabrück, while Braunschweig's crisis worsens. Fortuna Düsseldorf is finally expanding the strong start.

Fortuna Dusseldorf - SSV Jahn Regensburg 4: 0 (0: 0)

Fortuna Düsseldorf celebrated their first victory in a month in the 2nd Bundesliga and is now back in the promotion zone for at least one night. Coach Daniel Thioune's team beat Jahn Regensburg 4-0 (0-0) at the start of the 6th matchday, Düsseldorf had not won three games in a row before.

Regensburg conceded the next bankruptcy after the bitter 0: 6 against Karlsruher SC and has been waiting for a win for four games. Daniel Ginczek (59th), Dawid Kownacki (65th, penalty kick), Felix Klaus (78th) and Shinta Appelkamp (85th) scored for superior hosts and initially shot Fortuna to relegation rank three.

Regensburg started the game at high speed six days after the clap against KSC, but the Rhinelanders clearly took control in front of 20,745 spectators until the break. There were a few chances, but Kownacki (30th) and Klaus (43rd) were still undecided when it came to the best. That changed in the second round. Ginczek hit the short corner powerfully, Kownacki uncompromisingly converted the penalty kick taken by Klaus, and in the final phase Ginczek's low cross found Klaus.

Arminia Bielefeld - Eintracht Braunschweig 4: 1 (3: 0)

Liberation for Arminia Bielefeld: The relegated team celebrated their long-awaited first win and left last place in the table for the time being. At the home debut of the new coach Daniel Scherning, the East Westphalians won 4:1 (3:0) against Eintracht Braunschweig and were rewarded in particular for a strong first half. Scherning was bought out of his contract with third division club VfL Osnabrück after Uli Forte was released.

Bryan Lasme (30') with a header, Oliver Hüsing (37') after a mess in the Braunschweig penalty area, Robin Hack (39') and Masaya Okugawa (69') scored for Arminia. The direct corner kick from Immanuel Pherai (58th) ultimately did not help Braunschweig. For Eintracht, the situation is getting darker and darker: Lower Saxony is last with just one point.

The game in front of 18,057 spectators might have taken a different course if Anthony Ujah (5th) had given the guests the lead with his big chance. But he forgave easily, and it took revenge: within just nine minutes, Bielefeld made things clear. In the second half, Braunschweig showed a reaction and earned the goal, which, however, was lucky in its origin. But Bielefeld immediately countered.
