Krumbach (dpa / lby) - A man found a fanny pack with 13,700 euros in Swabia - and handed it over to the police. The 45-year-old discovered the money on Friday near the train station in Krumbach (Günzburg district), the police said.
Shortly thereafter, the loser of the money reported to the police "at first completely desperate". "The relief was palpable when he was told that an honest finder had handed in the money."
He had withdrawn money from the bank to buy a car and lost it on the way to the train station. After it was clearly clarified that it was actually the owner, he got the money back. The behavior of the finder deserves "the utmost respect," the police said.
