Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Propane gas bottles stolen in Warin

Warin (dpa / mv) - Unknown persons have again stolen a large number of propane gas bottles in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. As a police spokeswoman said on Tuesday in Wismar, a beverage store in Warin (Northwest Mecklenburg) was affected this time. Unknown persons are said to have broken into the locked gas depot, stolen more than 20 metal containers of different sizes and presumably taken them away in a larger vehicle. The pure property damage is estimated at a four-digit sum. The night of last Friday was given as the time of the crime.

A week earlier, unknown persons had already stolen twelve metal bottles with propane gas in Neukalen (Mecklenburg Lake District). There, the gas tanks disappeared from a locked box at a drinks market in the commercial area - for the second time.

Propane gas is primarily used when camping or on boats for cooking. Sometimes the gas is also used for heating with radiant heaters.
