North Rhine-Westphalia: After a caravan fire: A45 closed near Meinerzhagen

Meinerzhagen/Lüdenscheid (dpa/lnw) - After the fire of a car with a caravan trailer, the Autobahn 45 is completely blocked between the Meinerzhagen and Lüdenscheid-Süd junctions in the direction of Dortmund. There, on Wednesday morning, the team caught fire after an accident for reasons that are still unclear. The flames would then have spread to the embankment and an adjacent piece of forest. The fire brigade was able to extinguish the fire completely and had moved away again, the police said. The team is currently being recovered, while the traffic at the Meinerzhagen exit is diverted. The end of the blockage on the so-called Sauerland line is not yet foreseeable, Autobahn Westfalen announced on Twitter.
