Saxony-Anhalt: Three triplets and over 200 twins in Saxony-Anhalt

Halle (dpa/sa) - 415 multiple children were born in Saxony-Anhalt in 2021. The State Statistical Office in Halle announced on Wednesday that 203 twins and 3 triplets were born. The proportion of multiple children in all births accounted for 2.6 percent. In the previous year, 2020, the number of multiple children was almost 20 percent higher. However, the total number of births in 2021 fell slightly by 0.6 percent compared to the previous year.
