Charles also gave a speech there and called on politicians to redouble their efforts in the fight against global warming.
There is currently speculation that Truss could withdraw her country's international climate commitments. There are several ministers in her new cabinet who are skeptical about the goal of climate neutrality in 2050. The "Sunday Times" wrote that the prime minister's participation in the COP27 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, was unlikely.
