The Spanish cooperating Juana Ruiz, in Freedom and Rumbo to the West Bank after ten months in an Israeli prison

The Spanish Humanitarian Worker Juana Ruiz has already been released from Damon's prison, in Haifa's city, to the north of Israel, after having been awarded last week, the prison service of Israel confirmed.

The penitentiary authorities would be at that moment moving to Ruiz from Haifa to the Israeli military post of Yamala, to access the employed West Bank where he resides, and where his family and a representation of the Spain Consulate General in Jerusalem are awaited.

The Prosecutor's Office of Israel decided today not to appeal the measure a penitentiary committee, and Ruiz, has been imprisoned since April and condemned in November to thirteen months of prison, it will end up fulfilling the penalty.

An Israeli military court condemned Ruiz, 63, after he accepted a guilty agreement to reduce his sentence, from five to two positions: "Provide services to an illegal organization" and "Receive money E Introduce it illegally "in the West Bank.

The defense requested the probation that a penitentiary committee denied in December and, after appealing the refusal, the Board of Provisional Freedom of the Court of Nazareth, in northern Israel, had to review the case and finally granted the measure.

Born in 1958 and married with a Christian Palestinian, he has been working since 1986 as Project Coordinator of the Health Works Committees (HWC), a Palestinian NGO that gives medical services to the population of the occupied territories.

Ruiz was arrested on April 13 at his house of Beit Sahur, in the Occupied West Bank, and after 24 days of a detention without charges, the Israeli military prosecutor's office was formally accused her for her work in this NGO to which Israel accuses of diverting Funds to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (FPLP), considered a terrorist group also for the European Union (EU) and the United States.

The case of Ruiz has raised international attention because it is a military process and by the accusations of terrorist financing by NGOs that receive European funds and that Israel ensures that they are "Civil Arm" of the FPLP.
