Baden-Württemberg: Alleged fraudster is said to have made money with backpacks

Isny (dpa / lsw) - A former employee of an equipment manufacturer in the Ravensburg district is said to have enriched himself for years with the company's high-priced range. As announced by the public prosecutor and the police on Tuesday, the 31-year-old is said to have illegally withheld clothes, backpacks and bags worth several hundred thousand euros. He is being investigated for serious fraud. The man worked at the equipment manufacturer from 2019 to 2022. He is said to have played false customer orders and thus brought the goods into his possession. Investigators found part of it in his apartment. Police and prosecutors suspect that he sold another part of the loot.
