Baden-Württemberg: ATM at a retirement home blown up

Karlsruhe (dpa / lsw) - Unknown people blew up an ATM at a retirement home in Karlsruhe and damaged parts of the building. For safety reasons, according to the police, residents had to leave their accommodations briefly on Saturday night, but were then able to return. The police estimated the property damage at around 120,000 euros. It was initially unclear whether the perpetrators were able to steal cash. According to the report, witnesses reported that two men sped away in a car after the detonation.
