Baden-Württemberg: cigarette falls on sofa: apartment on fire

Ludwigsburg (dpa / lsw) - A cigarette that fell on a sofa set fire to an apartment in Ludwigsburg. The 41-year-old resident came to a hospital on Saturday afternoon suspected of smoke poisoning, the police said on Sunday. Firefighters used a ladder to get to the third floor apartment and put out the fire. The apartment was no longer habitable. According to initial findings, the woman was under the influence of alcohol. She now faces a charge of negligent arson. There was damage of around 25,000 euros.
