Zimmer ob Rottweil (dpa/lsw) - Almost at the last minute, a disoriented drunk made an emergency call to the police before his cell phone battery was empty. The 26-year-old called the police on Saturday evening in the Flözlingen district of Zimmer (Rottweil district) because he could no longer perform due to an injury. According to the police, the helpless man could not say where he was. His cell phone switched off shortly after the emergency call.

The police headquarters in Constance immediately started a search for people by helicopter. With the help of the transmitted call data, the officers narrowed down the mobile phone mast and the angle of radiation and were thus able to define a search area. After the helicopter reached the area of operations, it took about 20 minutes for the man to be located. An ambulance then took the injured man to a hospital.
