Baden-Württemberg: damage in the millions in a house fire in Bretten

Bretten (dpa / lsw) - A fire in a residential building in Bretten in the Karlsruhe district has caused property damage in the millions. The police said it would be in the six-figure range because two floors were completely burned out. All 19 residents were rescued on Thursday evening, no one was injured, it said. The fire brigade was deployed with 14 vehicles in Bretten. The house was so badly damaged that it was no longer habitable. The city is therefore organizing the accommodation of the rescued residents. There was initially no information about the cause of the fire.
