Baden-Württemberg: Dirt road blocked - ambulance has to take a detour

Merklingen (dpa / lsw) - Because unknown persons set up obstacles on a dirt road near Merklingen (Alb-Donau-Kreis), an ambulance had to turn around early Wednesday morning and take a detour. According to the police, the ambulance was therefore unable to meet the prescribed arrival time of 15 minutes. Officials assume that cones and barriers were set up along the dirt road to prevent cars from using the dirt road.

Due to the connection to the new "Merklingen-Schwäbische Alb" train station, the country road between Merklingen and Machtolsheim is currently closed. The police suspect that local experts are therefore increasingly using dirt roads. That is not allowed. However, there are exceptions for rescue services, police and fire brigade. The police are now investigating dangerous interference in road traffic.
