Möglingen (dpa / lsw) - A driver collided with two other cars on the state road 1140 near Möglingen (Ludwigsburg district) and was seriously injured. As the police announced on Saturday, the 42-year-old man drove through a red traffic light at a junction with the Autobahn on Friday afternoon. Emergency services took the 42-year-old to a clinic. The other drivers were not injured, a police spokesman said.
The 42-year-old drove straight through the red traffic light and first collided with a vehicle that turned left onto the freeway entrance. As a result of the collision, the 42-year-old's car veered to the left and crashed into another car that had left the highway and was waiting in front of a red traffic light. Two of the three cars had to be towed. The police estimate the damage at a total of around 85,000 euros.
