Herbolzheim (dpa / lsw) - An 89-year-old woman who was allegedly seriously injured by her nurse in Herbolzheim (Emmendingen district) is dead. She died at the end of last week, the police said on Monday. The orderly is suspected of seriously injuring the woman and locking her in a basement.
According to earlier information, the police and prosecutors are investigating, among other things, attempted murder against the 25-year-old, because he may have wanted to cover up a theft with the act. The suspect was taken to a psychiatric clinic by order of the Emmendingen district court. The elderly woman's bedridden 91-year-old husband has also died in the meantime.
