Rust/Waldkirch (dpa/lsw) - Entrepreneur Willi Mack (99) is dead. As Europapark Rust confirmed on Friday, the godfather of Europapark Managing Director Roland Mack died on Sunday in his house on the Mack Rides company premises in Waldkirch . The "Badische Zeitung" had previously reported on it. After the death of his father Heinrich, the trained blacksmith and his brothers Franz and Hermann took over the carriage and carousel factory in Waldkirch, the origins of which date back to 1780.
At the age of 65, he passed the shares on to his son. Mack is said to have tried out the roller coasters at Europa-Park when he was old. "Willi always had speed in his blood," the newspaper quoted godson Roland Mack as saying.
