"I think fireworks are a good symbol of human life: short, beautiful and loud," said the head of government before the start of sales for rockets and firecrackers on Thursday. He himself is now more of a spectator at the fireworks: "From the time my sons were allowed to do it, I stopped doing it," said the head of government of the German Press Agency. "Before, I was fully involved."
Fireworks may only be used in Baden-Württemberg on December 31 and January 1, 2023. Some municipalities have tighter time restrictions, and lighting fireworks may be banned entirely in certain parts of a municipality. In children's and old people's homes, hospitals and churches, the banging of firecrackers and the launching of rockets is prohibited for reasons of noise protection.
