Karlsruhe (dpa / lsw) - With the return of Florian Ballas to team training, the personnel situation in the center of defense of the second division soccer team Karlsruher SC has eased further. The centre-back took part in parts of the unit for the first time on Wednesday, the club said. Most recently, he was absent due to a torn thigh muscle.
The day before, KSC had loaned Stephan Ambrosius from league competitor Hamburger SV and Christoph Kobald's comeback is imminent. In the 3-2 win against SV Sandhausen last Saturday, only one central defender, Marcel Franke, played without pain. Next-man Daniel Gordon worked despite a torn muscle fiber.
