Waldshut-Tiengen (dpa/lsw) - A suspected shoplifter is said to have hidden pork steaks under his sweater in Waldshut-Tiengen (Waldshut district) in order to steal them. When the attempted theft was discovered, the drunk 22-year-old became aggressive and hit out, police said.
An employee noticed the alleged theft and asked the man to stop. Because he didn't respond, the clerk held him down. The 22-year-old then behaved aggressively and hit out. With the help of other employees, the man was later overpowered. He and the employees suffered minor injuries. The man was initially taken into custody by the police.
