Reutlingen/Metzingen (dpa/lsw) - A missing six-year-old boy rode his bike about ten kilometers from Reutlingen to a hotel in Metzingen and triggered a major police operation. The boy was reported missing by his parents on Thursday evening because he had not returned from playing, police said on Friday morning. Numerous emergency services and a helicopter then searched for the boy.
In the evening, the employees of a hotel reported to the police, it was said. The "remarkably young hotel guest" arrived at the hotel shortly before dark on his children's bicycle. According to the police, the employees provided the six-year-old with food, drinks and a coloring book. A patrol brought the boy back to his parents. What he wanted in the hotel was initially unclear.
